Website Construction

The group and I are currently in the process of creating our webpage, at this moment in time we have been able to upload the song in which we are using, edit the tabs which link on to different pages and insert our company logo in the top let hand corner.

Due to the group not completing our final music video yet we are unable to insert that onto our webpage. Another thing which we yet cannot insert is the proper background to our website, we haven't currently created a background which will flow through all of our webpages. As a replacement for this time we will be using the Werrington Red Bridge.

Risk Assessment

Weather
One of the main risks of picking and choosing days in which we film is the weather. For our music video to achieve a very high mark it needs to have continuity, for example we can't film on a day where it is raining and then the next it is sunny and not a cloud in sight.
This shows lack of continuity and makes the film look very shabby and there has been no thought and time gone into this film.

As a group we need to make sure that we need to pre-plan the days in which we will be filming, so we can check the weather to make sure that the continuity will be there once we start filming.

Editing Software

We are currently in the process of editing, the software in which we are using is Adobe Premiere Pro. We have been using this software for two years, one of our group members has experience using this programme as in AS the project which our group produced was edited on Adobe Premiere Pro.

Website Research

On this post I will be analysing three websites in preparation for when my group and I publish our own webpage based on our music video, as a group we will be taking ideas from these webpages (but not completely copying them).

This is Sub Focus' website, it very professional and the layout is brilliant.
The bright colours which are on the website attract the viewer's eye straight away as soon as you enter the webpage.
The background of the website is linked in with his latest album art. In the corner of the page you can listen to remix's from his latest songs, this is very good as you can listen to some songs which have been remixed and which may not get as much publicity like his singles in the chart.

The second is the Drake webpage. This website has a completely different layout to the Sub Focus website, on this page their are two sets of links to different pages.
The links are completely the same and are in the same order starting with 'home' and ending in Drake tour merchandise', the reason this is done is to attract the viewer into clicking on the links taking them to different parts of his website.

Lastly we are researching is Calvin Harris' website, this page is completely different to the other two websites in which the group and I have researched. The distinct thing about this is the timeline which appears at the bottom of the page, this is very a creative idea and it's basically a timeline of his music career from year to year telling us when his music has been released.

Digipak

A digipak is an opening book style CD case. A digipak generally contains:

A front cover that is easily recognisable by the artists fans, the cover will identify the artist/band and the title of the album, along with portraying an image to relate to either the artist/band or album title.

An inside index. the index will give a list of the songs on the CD(s) in order of play.

A back cover this back cover will have an image similar to the front cover. The back cover will contain a bar code for purchase reasons, the company or companies the artist/band are in association with and any copyright information.

An inside cover that contains the CD holder A stereotypical digipak uses lots of images and different bold text to make the digipak exciting and eye-catching for the fans to buy.

The digipak will have consistency of colours and themes throughout each side to make the house style iconic and recognisable to others.
